The site is located about 50 miles north of Columbus, Ohio, on the bypass of State Routes 27 and 309, and has already been zoned for biofuels.

The proposed plant will have the capacity to produce 12.6 million gallons of biodiesel in its first year of operation. Ohio currently has operational biodiesel plants in Defiance, Medina, Cincinnati, Toledo and Woodstock, with several other plants under construction. The US has an estimated total of 148 biodiesel refineries in operation.

Brian Duffy, director of global client services for Kauderer Group Energy, has recently been added to the team to head the new division with Eleazar Kauderer.
