Petrobras claimed that the floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) type vessel at the Block OML-127 of the Agbami field is the largest ever to be installed across the world and is capable of producing 250,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), with the average depth of the field at 1,400m.
Production at the Agbami FPSO is expected to peak in the second half of 2009. Petrobras’s share of the light oil production is 33,000boed. This volume represents around 13% of the total volume produced by Petrobras outside of Brazil.
