<p>Greek news provider Reporter.gr has quoted ACT Media as its source when revealing that E.ON Gaz Romania made a loss of ROL121 million in 2005. Revenues for the year were ROL2.09 billion.<br /><br />The company apparently has blamed rigid end user tariff rates for the losses as rapidly increasing international gas procurement prices resulted in supply costs being higher than tariffs for the Romanian division&#0039;s retail consumers.<br /><br />The German utility major, which bought a controlling stake in the Romanian gas business from the state a year ago, said that its modest goal for 2006 was to break even on the operation.</p>
