The new unit is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2008. The total cost of this modernization program is said to be around CZK0.5 million.
In 2008, the Unipetrol Group is planning investments totaling CZK6.5 billion towards the expansion of infrastructure. Approximately 60% of this investment is expected to be allotted to the group’s petrochemical business.
There are also plans to increase the production capacities for ethylene and polyolefins, while the construction of a new butadiene unit is expected to start shortly.
