Citing unnamed sources, the magazine has reported that Zhou Jiping, vice general manager of China National Petroleum (CNPC) will be appointed as PetroChina’s president. Mr Jiping is a board member of PetroChina.
The posts of CNPC general manager and PetroChina president are usually held by different persons, with the vice general manager of CNPC generally being the president of PetroChina.
