As part of the five-year project, the firm will supply the generating capacity, which will be split between two sites, using 14 of its dual-fuel mobile gas turbines.

Designed to offer a range of advantages over traditional power technologies, the mobile turbines feature the flexibility to use alternative fuels such as LPG, naphtha and kerosene.

It also provides s lower emissions, less noise and a smaller footprint when compared with high-speed reciprocating engines.

At present, APR Energy generates 75MW of power at three sites including Formosa, Magdalena and Sáenz Peña.

Campion added: "Our Argentina award further demonstrates that turbines have a key place in the fast-track power market. They are the preferred technology of utilities and a solution that integrates well into their existing infrastructure."
