Mr Quartermain has also been appointed as president the head of UK-based Shell Energy Trading’s leadership team.
Mr Quartermain serves as senior vice president of the south region for Shell Energy North America, with responsibility for managing gas and power trading, including emissions trading, and marketing in 14 states from Texas and Kansas to Florida and North Carolina.
Shell noted that, Mr Quartermain, who joined the company in 1983, has extensive experience within the Shell Trading network, having worked in key positions within the crude, refined products and risk management groups. He also helped establish Shell’s European natural gas trading activities.
