The company will install Li-Ion based energy storage solutions under its agreement with Korean energy storage system firm.

Financial details of the transaction, which marks ACME’s entry into African continent, were not disclosed.

ACME chief marketing officer Harish Goyal said the solution is the future of energy storage solutions and holds better prospects for high energy-consuming sectors like telecom, realty, renewables and several others.

"This green solution has revolutionized the way we store energy by efficiently managing the energy needs in the financially competitive market segment while being challenged environmentally," Goyal added.

"This is another step forward by ACME to solve the biggest challenge of the global energy industry by offering the right storage solutions from Kilo Watt to Mega Watt class."

The solution is expected to account for 50% share of the worldwide energy storage segment by 2020.

ACME and its Korean partner intend to sell about 110MWh of lithium ion batteries by 2016 in India and Africa.
