The 10MW project is due for completion in the second quarter of 2014. It will be acquired by Concord Green Energy after commercial operation.

The power generated at the project will be delivered to Ontario Power Authority, under a 20-year power purchase contract.

The power purchase contract has been awarded under Ontario’s Feed-In-Tariff Program.

Canadian Solar chairman and chief executive officer Shawn Qu said that Canadian Solar’s scale and track record of both execution and quality continues to help attract both world-class financial partners, like Manulife, and sought after end buyers, like Concord.

"We are now firmly established as one of the power industry’s fastest growing companies, with one of the largest global project development pipelines, spanning Canada, the US, China, Japan, and other developing markets," added Qu.
