The multicrystalline YGE series solar modules, which are expected to be delivered throughout 2014, will generate electricity for around 500 Malaysian homes.

Yingli Green said that the new supply agreement further expands the firm’s presence in Malaysia, where the company has installed 11.3MW of solar modules during 2013.

Maqo Solar general manager Colen Lau said the company is committed to develop and provide green energy solutions to Malaysia.

"We selected Yingli Green Energy because their track record for product quality is validated by independent testing and assessments – and that gave us strong assurance in Yingli Solar modules’ long-term reliability," Lau added.

Yingli Green, which includes around 20 regional subsidiaries and branch offices, has distributed about 7,000MW PV modules to customers worldwide.
