The company is planning to fund the projects through structured equity and debt, Business Standard reports.

Currently, the company has projects worth INR2.5bn (around $41m) in the process and aims to add around 1GW of wind, biomass power over the next few years.

The company had a capacity of 466.5MW, which includes 406MW wind and 60.5MW biomass till August 2013.

The group is now looking to add 600.6MW including 494.6MW wind and 106MW biomass power by the 2014 season.

It is also planning to add 170MW in the next two-three years mostly in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

OGPL vice-chairman T Shivaraman said that the company has a land bank in Tamil Nadu, in which it can set up wind energy projects with 150MW.
