The system, to be commissioned by year end, will be connected to the grid using underwater cables.

Astronergy, along with Chint Power Systems, another subsidiary of Chint Group, provided mono-crystalline modules of 6MWp as well as photovoltaic inverters of 3MWp for the project.

Astronergy Solar Korea CEO Chang Jyhping said the proven engineering ability will help the company gain more business opportunities.

"At the same time, the project will expand the local hiring and contribute to both energy and nature conservation," Jyhping said.
