The Milford Wind project, which will include the installation of 68 additional

1.5MW GE turbines for the second phase, will have the capacity to generate enough electricity to power about 22,000 homes upon its completion.

The construction on the Milford Wind Phase II project began in July, with foundations being poured in October by RMT, a renewable energy engineering and construction company, which also led the construction for the Milford I project.

The company has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with Southern California Public Power Authority to supply the cities of Los Angeles and Glendale with renewable energy generated from the Milford II project.

The company has secured loans for this wind power project from banks including RBS Securities, Banco Espirito Santo New York Branch, Santander Investment Securities, CoBank, ACB, and SG Americas Securities.

When completed, the combined phases of the Milford Wind project will have the capacity to generate 306MW of wind energy, enough to power the equivalent of more than 65,000 homes and decrease carbon dioxide emissions by over 310,000 tons annually.
