Conergy is acting as general contractor and also providing all the solar components to be deployed at the park.
Germany-based EBB Renewable Energy, Conergy partner, was responsible for the project development.
The solar power plant is scheduled for start-up by the end of 2011, and will generate eight million kWh of clean solar power per year in future, supplying just under 3,200 private households or over 60 % of Grimmen’s inhabitants.
Conergy said the plant will prevent about 4,800 tons of the damaging greenhouse gas CO2 being produced each year, corresponding to the emissions of almost 2,500 cars.
