International Energy has collaborated with another Irish investment group to finance this project, which has been developed and built by Solon Investments, a manufacturer of solar modules and a supplier of solar system technology for rooftop installations in Europe.

The facility consists of two separate PV power plants that are powered by nearly 14,500 Solon Blue 230 polycrystalline solar modules to generate enough energy to supply 3,000 people with electricity each year.

In addition to these two solar power plants, International Energy Investments Group plans to invest approximately EUR140m in other European solar power projects over the next 9 months.

International Energy Investments Group CEO Peter McCarthy said that the quality of the finished plants and the professionalism employed by Solon during the development and construction process have contributed to making these excellent long term investments.

“We look forward to developing further projects with Solon over the coming year and to realising further excellent plants in that time,” McCarthy said.
