The ten-year clean energy fund has a target size of around €450m, the company said.

Commenting on the initiative, Glennmont Partners managing partner Joost Bergsma said that the company focuses on clean energy infrastructure investments that would appeal to institutional investors’ need for yield and long term capital appreciation.

"Clean energy infrastructure is a highly attractive asset class for those investors looking for lower-risk assets simultaneously offering wealth protection, consistent yield and capital value appreciation.

"Our specialized and focused team are seeing high calibre deal flow and this new fund will give us the capital required to realize value from the best of those deals," added Bergsma.

Founded in 2013, Glennmont Partners is aimed at raising long-term capital to invest in alternative power generation projects focusing on proven technologies, including wind, biomass, solar and small-scale hydro.
