Located in the Cotes-d’Armor, the wind power project has an installed capacity of 26MW with 13 wind turbines.

The wind farm will deliver enough power for 20,000 homes, while reducing CO2 emissions by 47,000 tons each year.

The company made some EUR42m investment in the wind power project.

E.ON said the 26MW wind farm increases its installed renewable power capacity in France to 83.5MW.

E.ON is a Germany-based power generation company and its portfolio includes wind power, biomass production and hydro power.

By 2015, E.ON France intends to switch from coal-fired power generation to mainly other efficient energy sources like gas, renewable energy sources and biomass.
