The acquisition of YSI enables ITT to form a water-focused analytics business with annual revenue of about $300m.
ITT Fluid and Motion Control business president Gretchen McClain said YSI’s product offering complements the company’s existing water portfolio and enables it to better serve its global customers.
ITT Analytics business area president Chris McIntire said YSI’s expertise in field and outdoor, environmental applications strongly enhances and broadens the company’s analytical instrumentation platform.
Gretchen McClain will also be the future CEO of Xylem, the new standalone water company separating in a tax-free spinoff from ITT later this year.
YSI is a developer and manufacturer of sensors, instruments, software and data collection platforms for environmental water monitoring with facilities in the US, Europe and Asia.
