Half Price Books’ charging station, which offers level II charging for EVs, is part of the ChargePoint Network, a global EV charging infrastructure accessible to users on the web and mobile devices.
All drivers of plug-in vehicles and manufacturers of plug-in vehicle charging stations can have access to the ChargePoint Network EV charging station by making a toll free call to the 24/7 number at the charging station that will offer free charging to EV owners through September 2011.
ChargePoint Network provides information on the charging status by SMS text or email notification, location of unoccupied charging stations via smart phones and includes smart grid integration with built in utility grade metering, time of use pricing and demand response control.
