The new remote phosphor patent allows designers to develop a new generation of high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures.

The company, with its remote phosphor intellectual property, will provide lighting makers with advantages in the development of LED systems for general lighting applications.

US patent, entitled LED Based Lighting Systems, covers remote phosphor applications for lamps, down lights, lighting modules, desk, floor standing, wall sconces, spot, outdoor and accent lighting fixtures.

Intematix has another 85 remote phosphor patents pending worldwide in addition to the six issued US patents.
