Cypress Envirosystems’ patent pending WPT has been designed to retrofit the existing pneumatic thermostats to deliver direct digital control functionality in minutes for retro and ongoing commissioning to save energy.

The Deadband WPT, which offers two separate setpoints – one for heating and one for cooling – allows the heating and air conditioning to start working when the room temperature is below or above the respective setpoints to lower energy consumption.

In addition to remote temperature sensing and control of setpoints, it provides programmable zone control and night setback, automatic self-calibration, BACnet integration with the existing automation systems, and communication with utility demand response programs.

Cypress Envirosystems CEO Harry Sim said that the Deadband version includes all of the features of its extremely popular standard WPT, but can save even more energy and can be installed in minutes, and has an investment payback of less than 18 months.
