The French government aims to install 600 wind turbines spread across 10 sites along the country’s coast, according to AFP.
Tenders for the supply of wind turbines are expected to be floated in September 2010 and the first turbine is likely to commence generation by 2015.
France aims to reach a wind power generation capacity of 6,000MW by 2020.
