The company, as per the agreement, will supply 175 REpower MM82 and MM92 wind turbines for the project, each with a 2MW capaicty.

Located in the unorganised territories (UT) of Lac Pikauba and of Lac-Ministuk, the project is expected to be developed in two phases.

The construction of the 150MW first phase begins in 2013 with a completion date set for December 2014.

REpower Systems managing director Helmut Herold said that the two companies had agreed on a challenging delivery date but were confident of meeting it.

The deal is part of the 954MW framework agreement signed between EDF EN and REpower in 2009.
