“Although it isn’t a forerunner to a specific production vehicle, the iosis MAX clearly highlights how kinetic design is evolving and can be applied with stunning results,” said Martin Smith, executive design director, Ford Motor of Europe.
Capturing “energy in motion” through its athletic stance and muscular surfacing, the iosis MAX incorporates a dynamic shape and advanced materials to create a dramatic interior environment which is light, spacious and expressive. Innovative solutions like a ‘floating’ seat design create a more open cab while giving occupants a more comfortable ride.
“The iosis MAX marks the next stage in the evolution of kinetic design, and showcases a number of affordable engine technologies that will make a difference to the environment and our customers’ pockets,” concluded Smith.
“Technologies such as Ford EcoBoost and PowerShift, as showcased in the iosis MAX, highlight Ford’s ongoing commitment to fuel economy and sustainability,” Robert Graziano, chairman and CEO, Ford Motor China, stated. “We are pleased to confirm that both Ford EcoBoost and PowerShift technologies will be available in the China market in 2010.”
The Ford Safety Driving Challenge creates a dynamic environment for visitors to experience Ford Motor’s commitment to safety. On display will be a New Fiesta Cutaway as well as an interactive safety module and Ford Motor’s Five Safety Dimensions demonstration.
