US Navy has received authorization to operate orders for wireless networking solution, which is expected to improve efficiencies in the US Navy’s maintenance operations.
The wireless solution utilizes Telkonet Series 5 powerline communications system and wireless networking gear to provide a data-transport medium to extend wireless networking signals inside the hull of a vessel undergoing repairs or alterations.
Telkonet said the wireless solution will deliver connectivity to shipyard mechanics and supervisors working on vessels which are undergoing maintenance works.
