The 70.38kW solar electric system in Corvallis, has received an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant of $491,000 from the US Department of Energy.
The SunWize system is installed on the roof of a 25’x30′ educational facility, which will store all the system’s electrical equipment behind glass windows to visibly educate the public about the equipment used and the output achieved.
The company said a computer with two touch screens will make the project interactive, and the building will feature a mural, History of Energy, which will depict the evolution of energy from coal to solar.
