The plant will be based on the Dynamis 3.0 advanced thermal gasification technology and will generate electricity as well as provide heat for a sludge drying operation.
The new plant will be integrated into an existing waste management facility and will process post-sorted municipal solid waste to generate steam and electricity.
Construction will begin in August and will take ten months to be complete.
Actual start up and operation of the plant is scheduled later in the year or in 2012.
Dynamis Energy chairman and CEO C. Lloyd Mahaffey said this is its first plant is Europe and will serve as s springboard for more plants in Italy and the European Union.
Dynamis Energy’s modular system uses very little fuel per cycle and processes waste in a very efficient manner, while maintaining very low emissions.
