The purchase of EVs from Kandi for use as ‘Special Postal Vehicle’ is a part of Chinese government’s initiative to switch to alternative energy vehicles by offering subsidies and special policy incentive to EV and hybrid manufacturers in the Chinese cities including Hangzhou.

According to the company, Kandi KD5010xxyev EV emits no emissions and meets all of the standards set by the Chinese government.

Kandi is working in close collaboration with the Postal Service and local government to ensure that every aspect of the demonstration period goes well which in turn will help the company to a make strong foothold in the Chinese EV market.

Xiaoming Hu, chairman and CEO of Kandi, said: “By improving the environment and raising the standard of service provided by the Postal Service in Hangzhou, we believe this sale will serve as an example of the potential for utilizing EVs for mail delivery throughout all of China.
