The venture plans to add electronic and whiteware waste to its portfolio and will recycle them employing proprietary systems developed by Germany-based Adelmann Umwelt.
eCycling USA is currently in partnership with Adelman to implement 100 e-waste de-manufacturing and materials reclamation sites across the US.
The joint-venture partners are also looking expand their e-waste recovery revenues that are expected to reach $13bn by 2014.
Green Energy and eCycling USA have a pilot site in Detroit that is expected to serve as a model for their planned expansion in the country.
