The farm is being developed by Birdseye Renewable Energy with Canadian Solar responsible for the overall project delivery and supply of PV modules.
Mortenson Construction is responsible for the design and engineering services, besides the installation of the equipment on the 10-acre site to produce 3,483 MWh of clean electricity per annum.
Canadian Solar director of commercial and utility-scale markets Noah Eckert remarked that the project is an important milestone for the company in the US market.
"Canadian Solar’s goal is to support our customers and partners to bring utility-scale projects to completion.
"In that vein, we selected Mortenson Construction, a well-regarded and experienced construction firm focused on delivering the highest quality service, to design and build the project," said Eckert.
The company expects the PV project to be completed by December 2012.
