Siemens will deploy five multi-level and dual output EV charging stations, which will be equipped with connectivity via the ChargePoint Network, for Loudoun County’s park.

The EV charging stations, designed for public outdoor applications, deliver Level II charging and Level I charging through two separate outputs, which can deliver energy simultaneously.

Siemens plans to install charging stations at the Loudoun County park by May 2011.

All manufacturers of vehicle charging stations can have access to the open-system EV charging network, which provides 24/7 station monitoring and driver support.

Siemens Smart Grid Applications USA president Paul Camuti said the company’s EV infrastructure solutions offer municipalities, corporations, fleets and utilities a smart, safe and simple method to charge electric vehicles.
