Cenovus Energy, Imperial Oil, MEG Energy, N-Solv Corporation will receive $10m each, the maximum funding that CCEMC provides for any project.
Inventys Thermal Technologies and Husky Energy will receive $3m and $2.9m respectively.
According to the company the six projects could bring down emissions by 183,000t combined over the next ten years.
Commenting on the funding announcement, CCEMC Chair Eric Newell said that the corporation is funding projects with potential to reduce the region’s greenhouse gas emissions over the longer term.
CCEMC now supports a total of 31 projects and has committed $156m to reduce emissions in Alberta.
"I’m confident that continued innovation by industry will help Alberta demonstrate leadership in environmental management while meeting growing global energy demand," added Newell.
