The revitalization of the Bajina Basta power plant, costing EUR65.5 million ($93.26 million), will be completed in 2013. EUR31 million ($42.71 million) were provided by the German government and the remaining by Serbian power industry.
The project will be carried out by Andritz Hydro, Austrian company, and several Serbian firms. It will raise the plant’s capacity from 368 megawatts to 422 megawatts.
