IDE Technologies Ltd. is a joint venture owned by Israel Corp. and Delek Group Ltd.
The Hadera desalination plant will produce100 million cubic meters of water annually and has already been connected to the national water system. The plant was set up at an investment of ILS1.5 billion and will start operations later in 2009 or early 2010. In contrast to the plant in Ashkelon, the Hadera plant will purchase electricity directly from the Israel Electric.
