The newly-completed solar plant is generating enough electricity to meet 15% of the facility’s annual power needs.

Campbell vice president of corporate responsibility and public affairs Dave Stangis said that the company is committed to managing its environmental resources with tangible initiatives that produce measurable results.

"This system is a milestone achievement that will reduce Campbell’s operational expenses while generating clean, renewable power that contributes to the environmental health of our friends and neighbors in Napoleon and across Northeast Ohio," added Stangis.

Enfinity co-developed the project alongside BNB Renewable Energy – the projects developers since it began back in 2009.

Working with Wells Fargo, Enfinity arranged the term finance required for the project. Both BNB and Enfinity managed the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with SunPower.

Using high-efficiency solar panels, SunPower designed and installed the SunPower Oasis system at the 60-acre facility.
