Commissioned this month the 50.6KW 20-modulesolar cogeneration system provides renewable electricity and 6,000 gallons per day of solar hot water required the Clean-in-Place (CIP) process at the plant.

Clover Stornetta president and CEO Marcus Benedetti said that the company provides its customers quality dairy that are produced sustainably, with respect for the animals and the environment.

"With the latest addition of the solar cogeneration system we are now saving money on our energy bills," added Benedetti.

Helping the plant reduce 32 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year, the system is described by Benedetti as a win-win for the company and its customers.
