The solar system was inaugurated on 5th June 2012, commemorating the World Environment Day.

Solar modules from Suntech, installed and integrated by Propmech, will generate 600MW hours of electricity and help reduce cardon dioxide emissions to the tune of 307 tons per annum.

Propmech MD Helen Tong said, "This solar installation is an important investment for our company. The investment is the most concrete expression of our belief and commitment to the viability of solar PV technology."

Philippines has some of the highest power tariff structure in Asia at $0.18 per kWh, and therefore solar technology is rightly sought after for providing cost effective and clean energy.
