The first construction stage, for which the facility will generate 41MW, is expected to last from June to August 2011.

In allowing the solar park to be constructed in Jannersdorf, the Marienfliess municipality, which is responsible for land-use planning in the area, is acting in line with the State of Brandenburg’s energy strategy that aims to protect the climate by increasing the proportion of renewable energy in the state to 20% of its primary energy use by 2020.

The solar power project is currently engaged in the approval process, which is expected to conclude in May 2011.
