UB Solar financed 70% of the cost of the system with a loan from Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), through PSE&G’s Solar Loan Program I.

UB Solar said it has the option of repaying all or part of the PSE&G loan with solar renewable energy credits that are expected to be generated by the system, and most of the remaining cost of the system will be funded by a renewable energy grant from the federal government.

The system is expected to produce approximately 300,000kWh/year of electricity.

It is expected that all of the power generated by the system will be used at the Center, with a significant portion used by The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company.

UBP selected Martifer Solar USA for the turnkey design and construction of the system, and the company received significant consulting assistance from IPPsolar Energy.
