The upgrades will provide reliability for customers, reduce service disruptions and increase water flows for firefighting.

Pennsylvania American Water replaced 1,300ft of existing four-inch pipe in Grove Street, Edwardsville; about 2,000ft of four-inch main in Oliver Street, Swoyersville; and deployed 3,500ft of new eight-inch pipe, replacing existing four-inch water main in Tripp Street, Forty Fort.

The company also replaced 3,000ft of existing four-inch pipe in Dana Street, Forty Fort.

Under the $1.8m project, the company will replace 1,100ft of existing two-inch main long Warren Street and South Pioneer in Trucksville new eight-inch water main.

The company expects to complete the water main installation, including transfer of all customer services and final paving restoration, by late June.
