An additional 50MW of Axio projects await final approval, pending the OPA’s economic connection test. Axio Power has developed the projects from its Kingston, Ontario offices and will finance, build, own and operate all of the facilities using solar modules and related equipment that meet the 60% Ontario domestic content requirements of the program.

These projects will contribute to the communities in which our projects are based, creating hundreds of jobs and providing upwards of 12,000 homes in the province with clean, renewable energy.”
Axio Power has worked closely with the Canadian Solar Industries Association and the OPA to bring its projects to fruition. The 90MW of projects, representing an investment of approximately CAD400m, will be developed in the Fort Erie, Simcoe, Welland, Odessa, Alfred and Kingston areas, the company said.
