The new contract builds on the partnership that Toxco-Canada already has with Call2Recycle as a service provider of sorting batteries and cellular phones.

Call2Recycle Canada executive director Joe Zenobio said the company’s new agreement with Toxco-Canada advances its goals for environmental stewardship and supporting its local communities.

Toxco’s facility in Trail, British Columbia, offers both primary and secondary Lithium battery recycling.

Under the Call2Recycle’s processing agreement, Toxco-Canada will utilize its unique hydrometallurgical technology to produce lithium and cobalt raw materials.

In the past year, Call2Recycle has collected more than 800,000kg of batteries in Canada.
