TotalFacility will install and handle service needs of the units, ensuring that American Hometec customers have nationwide service coverage for its units.

American Hometec’s units feature the company’s Coilless Technology, which eliminates lime scale build-up and heats water indirectly through heat transfer. Other electric heaters, which immerse coils directly in the water in order to heat it, cause heat spots, which produce build-up of lime scale and a decrease in heating efficiency, the company said.

As there are no coils with American Hometec’s technology, the electric components are never in direct contact with the water being heated, preventing accumulation of lime scale inside the unit and increasing longevity of the unit, according to the company.

According to the US Department of Energy, tankless water heaters can be up to 50% more energy efficient than conventional storage tank water heaters. American Hometec’s electric tankless water heaters are suitable for all water conditions and provide hot water, heating water only on-demand for increased efficiency.

Many of its units feature two or three capacity settings within one unit, which means they can handle multiple needs and act as more than just one unit. This design reduces inventory cost, saves space and provides convenience to both distributors and contractors, the company added.

David Millilo, vice president of marketing at American Hometec, said: ”American Hometec has chosen to partner with TotalFacility to both install and service our one-of-a kind tankless hot water heaters.”
