SaskPower’s project will transform the aging Unit 3 at Boundary Dam Power Station into a long-term producer of clean power while improving provincial oil production and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Fluor is one of three companies selected to proceed to the next stage for further assessment of the carbon capture technologies. SaskPower is anticipated to make a final selection by the end of 2009.
Fluor is looking forward to demonstrating the benefits of our commercially-proven carbon capture technology, said Dave Dunning, president of Fluor’s Power Group.
