The SM-4 has the lowest maintenance requirements of any Mercury CEMS in the market today. It is cost-effective, provides reliable long-term operation, and can ensure that all current and future EPA compliance requirements are met, said Ravi Narayan, Vice President of Cemtrex’s MIP division. Our SM-4 probe is a unique design, developed on lessons learned from field testing and represents a significant advancement in technology applied to ‘wet stacks’ with low-level mercury concentrations.

The SM-4 currently offered is a result of more than six years of development work, and shows the ongoing dedication and commitment that we have to the utility and industrial sectors globally, said Arun Govil, CEO and president of Cemtrex. We anticipate this order to be part of a new wave of SM-4 sales due to the increasing regulations that the EPA is enforcing on coal-fired power plants.

SM-4 operates on the dry thermo-catalytic/CVAAS principle and has no consumables. It fully conforms to EPA Part 75 regulations and has been successfully tested at multiple Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) test sites.
