These projects are located in the catchments areas namely Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina and Zamfara state.

These projects reduce poverty in the areas, by promoting food production in these areas.

Alhaji Danlami Bala Zango, the managing director of SRRBDA said that the Authority has reached to a maximum extent in distributing improved technology to the farmers and also effective method of application of fertiliser to ensure maximum yield.

Zango also said that small earth dams were also constructed in all the four states to enhance dry season farming by concentrating on the activities of SRRBDA.

Zango has reported that the Authority had constructed 25 small earth dams while 55 were rehabilitated across the four states at the cost of NGN375 and NGN192.5 million, adding that they had supplied Fadama farmers with 700 irrigation pumps worth NGN100 million.
