Wind turbine

Under the contract with Wind Field Korytnica, Vestas will supply, install and commission 25 of its V126-3.3MW turbines at the project, which was developed by Geo Renewables.

The turbines are expected to be delivered and commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2015. The deal also includes a 15-year service agreement.

Vestas Northern Europe president Klaus Steen Mortensen said: "With the delivery of the first V126-3.3 MW turbines to the Korytnica North project Vestas is now taking a significant step in reducing the Cost of Energy for wind in Poland.

"The Korytnica North project will help increase the proportion of cost competitive renewable energy in Poland, and we are very pleased that Wind Field Korytnica has chosen to work with us."

The project, which will support renewables industry, is part of diversification of energy generation sources in Poland.

The contract is Vestas’ third order in Poland this year. The company has a 30% share of entire installations in the country, having delivered 1,272 MW of wind turbines since entering the market 12 years ago.

Vestas’ announced order intake since the start of this year now totals 2,985MW.
