The company completed over $157m in upgrades via ten transmission station projects through out Toronto and the GTA in 2014.

Hydro One completed several transmission station projects in Toronto which include Main, Bridgman, Leaside, Basin, Manby and Gerrard.

The completed projects also include Toronto Lakeshore Infrastructure Renewal; Claireville, Cooksville and Trafalgar transmission station in Woodbridge, Mississaug, Oakville respectively.

Hydro One COO & EVP of strategic planning Sandy Struthers said: "As stewards of Ontario’s transmission system, Hydro One is committed to prudently investing in its transmission system to support our province’s energy needs.

"These investments will improve electricity reliability in Toronto and the GTA today and for the future."

Hydro One owns and operates Ontario’s 29,000 km high-voltage transmission network and a 122,000 km low-voltage distribution system that serves around 1.3 million end-use customers and smaller municipal utilities in the province.

The company identifies and monitors the condition of critical assets and makes investment decisions through its asset analytics tool.
