Wind turbine

Under the contract, Vestas will supply, install and commission 37 of its V117-3.3 MW turbines.

The contract also includes a 15-year service agreement (AOM 5000), as well as a VestasOnline business Scada solution.

Vesats plans to deliver the turbines in the first quarter of 2016 while the wind farm is expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2016.

The Sorby project has been developed by Krafto Vind, which is also managing the wind farm’s construction.

Allianz Capital Partners head of renewable energy David Jones said: "We are very pleased to become the owner of the 122 MW Sörby project which materially strengthens our position in the Swedish wind market.

"We look forward to working with both Kraftö and Vestas to ensure the smooth construction and optimal long-term operation of the project."

Vestas has to date delivered around 1,600 wind turbines, totaling over 2.5GW, to Sweden.

In February 2015, Vestas won an order to deliver 10 V126-3.3 MW turbines for the Maevaara 2 wind power plant in northern Sweden.

The contract was secured from Nordic renewable energy developer OX2 and Vestas said the Maevaara 2 project is the second in Sweden to utilise the V126-3.3MW turbine model.
