The applications of SD721 are compensation of tower crane swinging, movement detectors for high risk patients and game consoles. Qualified, series tested SD721 sensor modules are now available.
Sensor features
The micromechanical sensing element of SD721 guarantees a high shock resistance of 1500g in operation and 2000g unpowered. Due to the low noise design SD721 has a high dynamic-range; the effective number of bits is 10 at a measurement range of ±300°/s. SD721 is fully temperature compensated from -25°C to +105°C. The maximum offset is ±2.5°/s for all operating conditions. More technical details are in the attached SD721 datasheet. Furthermore an AEC-Q100 qualified, fail-safe version with full automotive temperature range of -40 to +125°C is available.
“We are happy to announce the successful start of mass production of the gyroscope SD721 and the outstanding production yield of more than 85% of the MEMS-elements. Currently SD721 is transferred to our packaging- and test-partner, ASE Korea“, said Hubertus Christ, CEO of SensorDynamics.
